Dr Chrissy Buse
Research Officer
I am a research officer at CIRCLE, and am currently working on the 'Caring with Confidence' and 'National Carers Strategy Demonstrator Sites' projects.
I recently completed a PhD in sociology at the University of York, examining domestic computer and Internet use during later life. Before this, I completed an MSc at the University of Manchester in Sociological Research Methods, including dissertation research on the use of 'pro-anorexia' websites.
Research Interests
My research interests including gender, ageing, the life-course, technology, embodiment, and care.
Teaching
I am currently not doing any teaching, although I have previous experience of teaching undergraduate seminars in sociology at the University of York.
