Miss Ieva Eskyte
Research Assistant
I am an Early Stage Researcher at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, as a part of the international training network DREAM ‘Disability Rights Expanding Accessible Markets” I am a Marie Curie Fellow.
Before my studies at the University of Leeds I was an assistant of prof.J. Ruskus at the 'Academic Network of European Disability experts' (ANED) as well as a social worker in children day care centre.
Research Interests
My current research interests include empowerment, especially respecting and optimizing the voice, needs and rights of people, who have fewer opportunities in the society. I am interested in negotiation and interaction between the private sector, policy makers and disabled people, as well as the development of social participation.
