Ms Viktoria Joynes
Research Fellow/Fieldwork Manager
Having trained in Research Methods I began my research career working for a multi-national commercial research company designing and analysing market research surveys for financial institutions. I joined the University in 2007 to work as the Research Officer for the ALPS CETL, coordinating a programme of research across five HEIs and sixteen health and social care professions.
My current work involves evaluating new services for carers and the experiences of carers who have used them.
Research Interests
I am currently working on my PhD, which is exploring the relationship between interprofessional working, professional identity and organisation change in the health and social care sector.
My other research interests include examining the construction of identity through cultural interests, and exploring public understanding of events via media portrayals and ‘moral panics’.
Teaching
I am not currently involved in any teaching although my previous teaching roles have involved teaching SPSS and basic quantitative analysis to undergraduate students, and taking seminars on ‘Culture in Contemporary Society’.
