Mr Patrick Macartney

Teaching Fellow

I joined the school in 1997. Before that, I did a Social Science diploma at Ruskin College, Oxford. I then graduated with a degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Leeds.

Research Interests

I am currently undertaking my Masters degree in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. I have already completed my Learning and Teaching Portfolio, submitted for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

Teaching

My teaching interests are within the social sciences, covering aspects of both Sociology and Psychology. I teach undergraduate courses in Research Methods, Sociology of Health and Illness, Individual, Mind Society and Information Technology. I also manage the third year dissertations.
