Dr Sarah Woodin

Research Fellow

I am a research fellow working with two projects: a Rapid Evidence Assessment of Disability Research for the Office for Disability Issues and the EU ‘Academic Network of European Disability Experts’ (ANED).

I completed my PhD at Leeds after many years working to develop supported employment in the UK.

Research Interests

My research interests primarily concern disability and Independent Living. Connected with this, I have broader interests in social policy, employment, family and social relationships, international policy developments and research methods.

Teaching

I have been involved in teaching since 1986, primarily in the UK. While at Leeds, I have taught on a wide range of sociology and social policy courses. I have also taught emancipatory disability research methods to staff and PhD students as part of a Marie Curie (Transfer of Knowledge) Fellowship at University College Dublin.
