Bauman Institute MA Scholarships

The School of Sociology and Social Policy is delighted to announce a Masters Scholarship at the Bauman Institute and invites applications for funding from UK students who wish to commence postgraduate study in September 2012.

The award covers the full cost of fees and is available to students for either of the Bauman Institute's MA programmes, namely MA Social and Political Thought and MA International Social Transformation.

We are delighted to announce the winners of the two scholarships for 2011:

About the Scholarships

All applicants should have or expect to obtain a good honours degree (upper second class or first) or its equivalent in Sociology, Social Policy or a related discipline. Candidates must have applied for and been offered a place on one of the schemes above within the School of Sociology and Social Policy.

As a condition of the philanthropic gift that is funding these Scholarships for UK students, the successful candidates will be required to provide a report/presentation on their progress at the halfway and completion stages. Acceptance of the Scholarship is taken as consent to this requirement.

Applicants will be peer-reviewed and invited to interview before the Scholarships are awarded.
