FLOWS
CIRCLE is a partner in the FLOWS project, which has been awarded funding between 2011 and 2013 under the EU Framework 7 programme.
The project brings together eleven EU partners under the leadership of Per Jensen (University of Aalborg, Denmark).
The study on the "Impact of local welfare systems on female labour force participation and social cohesion" will involve new research in 11 countries -- the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK -- to explore the causes and effects of women's labour market integration.
The study's overall aim is to analyse how local welfare systems support women's labour market participation, as well as the extent to which (and under what conditions) female labour market integration has contributed to strengthening social cohesion. Sue Yeandle leads CIRCLE's contribution to this project.
