WOCAWO - Working Carers, Caring Workers
The WoCaWo project is funded by the Academy of Finland's research programme on the Future of Work and Well-being (2008-2011). Academy Research Fellow Dr Teppo Krögerat the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, is co-ordinating the project. Working Carers - Caring Workers (WoCaWo) is investigating 'Making paid employment and care responsibilities compatable'.
In Finland, the research is being conducted by research groups at the Univesity of Jyväskylä in the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. Two of the project members have received from the Academy of Finland additional grants for their three-year (2010-2012) postdoctoral research projects that are connected to the WoCaWo project.
CIRCLE is among the WOCAWO group's international partners, through the participation of Sue Yeandle and Gary Fry in conferences in Finland, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK, which will lead to publications planned for 2011 and 2012.
