How to apply
To apply for an undergraduate course
If you decide to apply to a full-time undergraduate course at the School of Politics and International Studies, you must apply online at www.ucas.com.
Advice is available from British Council offices and other centres overseas, such as your school or college. You are responsible for paying the correct application fee, obtaining and attaching the academic reference, and submitting the completed application online to UCAS.
For all applicants, there are full instructions at www.ucas.com to make it as easy as possible for you to fill in your online application, plus help text where appropriate. UCAS also has a comprehensive guide called Applying Online, which can be downloaded from www.ucas.com.

To apply for a taught postgraduate course
If you wish to apply for a taught postgraduate course at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, you can either download an application form to fill in and send to us with the relevant documentation, or you can apply online and send us the documentation separately.

To apply for a research postgraduate course
If you wish to apply for a research postgraduate programme at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, we strongly encourage you to identify the academics with research interests in your proposed area and contact them before submitting your research proposals. The Postgraduate Research Tutor, who is contactable via the Postgraduate Office, can also give you advice about possible supervisors for your research degree.
