tbc

Masterclasses take place termly between White Spaces Research Network core member institutions: the University of Leeds, UK; University of Sydney (USyd), Australia; University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa and the University of Southampton (SOTON), UK.  Masterclasses involve a small number of PGT/R students and White Spaces academics at each institution.  Masterclasses will sometimes also include visting White Spaces academics and PGT/R students from other locations.  The aim of the classes is to provide a forum for international comparative discussion between postgraduate students working in the area of critical whiteness studies in the core White Spaces institutions.  The classes provide input from international experts in the field of critical whiteness studies (CWS), and also provide a platform from which to develop PGR mobility activities between the core institutions.  The format and content for classes is PGR driven.  So far class content has been focussed on debates prompted by pre-circulated abstracts and academic papers on topics of interest to CWS.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  Students interested in attending at Leeds should contact Shona Hunter cc'ing Marie Johnson by 18th April.  The specific class topic will be negotiated with masterclass participants before the class.
