Research Project: Evaluation of the Caring with Confidence Programme (2008-2011)

CIRCLE holds the contract for the National Evaluation of the Department of Health - funded Caring with Confidence Programme (initially announced as the Expert Carers Programme, within the government's New Deal for Carers). The project is based within CIRCLE and delivered in collaboration with SPRU, at the University of York. This major piece of work is examining the way the programme has been set up, its impact as a source of support of carers in England, and the effects of the programme as perceived by both carers and the providers delivering it.
The final evaluation report will be submitted to the Department of Health in June 2011.
