The School is celebrating an outstanding performance in the 2008 RAE. It was ranked second in the country in terms of research that was considered 'world-leading' (4*).

A GPA of 2.95 reinforces our position as one of the premier institutions in the country for the study of Social Policy and Sociology. 35% of research submitted for the RAE was rated as world-leading (4*), with a further 30% being rated as internationally excellent (3*).
