What are the mechanisms and experiences of exclusion from white gay spaces for Gay Muslim-Heritage students in Higher Education

I am looking into the issues around individual identity and collective identities using social identity theories as a framework, and how these relate to the processes of relative deprivation between differing 'ethnic' gay student groups.  The role of homonormativity is also being lookded at as a conservatising discourse and culture which undermines and excludes those groups who fall outside of its hetero-patriarchal norms.
